BC cougar hunts at Skinner Creek take place from December to the end of March and the hunt is seven full days.  The Tatlayoko Lake area has the largest cougars in the world and boasts the  number one Boone and Crockett cougar. The genetics continue, with world class cougars shot each year. The hunting pressure is very light as this is remote country with little road access and we are located 150 miles from the nearest city of Williams Lake, British Columbia.

The day starts around 6:00am having coffee and driving the roads. Then, it's a stop by the ranch for a big breakfast, load up the sleds and hit the trails. When a good tom track is found the hounds are let go and the music begins (so does the work). Snowmachines and snow shoes are then used to access the tree once the hounds have done their job.

Hunters are wise to purchase a wolf tag. as we cover a lot of ground during a hunt, increasing the chance of getting a shot at one.
